Due to continued growth, our sustainable biotech client is seeking a Grants Manager to join the commercial department. As their Grants Manager, you will play a lead role in tracking grant-funded project deliverables, milestones and budgets in collaboration with other key departments.

This role will suit a candidate with grant management experience (particularly with Innovate UK) coupled with strong written and presentation skills - translating technical information into easy to understand information.

Grants Manager responsibilities

Keep track of grant-funded project deliverables, milestones and budgets in collaboration with the project leads, finance team and external collaborators.
Prepare quarterly reports for primarily Innovate UK-funded projects.
Research grant opportunities that align with the wider business strategy, presenting to internal teams and seeking internal approval to progress with applications.
Once opportunities are approved, manage the grant application process by working with technical and commercial leads and grant-writing consultants to complete applications to a high standard.
Represent the company at external grant funding body events, often in partnership with our technical team.Grants Manager requirements

Current knowledge of major grant funding bodies - particularly Innovate UK.
Experience in managing science-related grant-funded projects, according to defined plans.
Experience in preparing reports targeted to funding bodies.
Project budget management experience.
Writing and coordinating grant applications.
Strong written and presentation skills - ability to translate technical information into easy-to-understand reports.
