P/T Accounts Assistant - Portsmouth / Hybrid - Part Time (20-24 hours/week) - £26k - £30k (DoE) Pro Rata + Benefits

* 20-24 hours per week (flexibility over days)
* Hybrid working - 60% office based
We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant or Credit Controller to join a fabulous financial organisation in their Portsmouth office.
The Part Time Accounts Assistant will manage the debt portfolio for the Portsmouth team, liaising with the firm’s partners to collect debts, achieve cash collection targets and make recommendations to help mitigate risk.

This is a part time role, working 20-24 hours per week, with flexibility over the days. Hybrid working is available with 60% of your hours based in the Portsmouth office and 40% working from home.
Key responsibilities as the P/T Credit Controller will include:
* Managing the Credit Control function - both B2B and B2C debt
* Achieving cash collection targets and other KPIs
* Liaising with the firm’s partners to collect debts
* Making recommendations to help mitigate risk
* Attending monthly debtor meetings
* Managing queries and ensuring they are resolved
* Referring default debts for further action
What we’re looking for:
* Demonstrable Accounts Assistant or Credit Control experience ideally within professional services
* Studying for the CICM is advantageous, but not essential
* Good MS Excel skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* IT literate with the ability to work with different systems competently
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Proactive, meticulous and professional nature
