Billing Assistant - Top Global Law Firm - Manchester City Centre - £24,000-£30,000+
Join a global law firm based in Manchester City Centre that is consistently ranked as on of the top law firms in the world. As a billing assistant, you will play a key role within the firm's Accounting & Finance team, supporting in all aspects of the billing process.
The role is full-time and allows for hybrid working. There may be occasional travel required to the firm's London office.
Role duties:
- Processing Accounts Receivable write offs and WIP
- Performing the finalisation of invoices in-line with internal/ external regulation and legislation (e.g. VAT, Criminal Finances Act, AML and Solicitor's Accounts Rules)
- Providing support to the Manager, Billing & Client Account Liaison, E-billing/ Billing Coordinators and processing any other ad-hoc requests
- Generating invoices and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Processing narrative edits to timecards and time/costs transfers as required
Key skills:
- Experience in the use of financial systems
- Strong numerical skills
- Experience within a professional services environment
- Confident communicator across all levels of an organisation
- Ability to effectively manage your own workload, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
