Desired Skills:
- Supervise and manage the accounts payable function
- Ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded and updated
- Monthly journal entry processing
- Generate financial reports related to accounts payable, and expenses
- Monitor and manage all expenses
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
- Ensure the fixed asset register is updated monthly
- Ensure all Balance sheet recons are performed
- Responsible for various recons, analysis and reporting- Preparation of monthly Vat reconciliations
- Monthly submissions to SARS
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:
- B Com Accounting (Hons)
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 Years' experience in accounts management or a similar role
- Experience Insurance Industry
- Completed Articles
Preferably, in addition to the above:
- Proficiency in English
- Afrikaans would be an advantage
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Minimum Requirements:
- Sound financial acumen
- High-level knowledge in all areas of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems and financial regulations
- Computer literacy with appropriate knowledge of MS Office software (Specifically MS Excel and MS Word)
- Experience in processing on Pastel/Sage
