My client is an automotive powerhouse that represent some of the strongest brands in the market. As leaders in their field, they pride themselves on their dynamic work environment where no two days are the same. Due to a change within the finance team, they are looking for a technically strong, commercially minded Financial Accountant for an initial 4-month contract.

The Role

As the Financial Accountant you will report directly to an impressive Financial Controller. You will own the finance function for your hub and partner across the business. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Month end close - 4 working days
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• GST/FBT returns
• Maintaining the fixed assets register
• KPI reporting
• Ad-hoc analysis around manufacturing, labour costs, etc.
• Assist the FC with half-year reporting

Your profile:

To be suitable for this role you would ideally be CA/CPA qualified. A background in the automotive industry is highly desired, but not a requirement. You should be organized by nature and have intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
