My client is a precision engineering business, working very closely with the aerospace and energy markets. As a Management Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a full set of accounts each month including analysis with deviation to budget and forecast. You will also provide support to the finance manager and partner our non-financial colleagues, business managers and department heads

Job Description
Management Accounts:
Drive the month end process ensuring that all reports, journals postings are done in line with deadlines.
Provide monthly analysis and management report and the results and insights into key the drivers behind variances. Ad-hoc financial reports for senior management, providing clear insights into financial performance and recommendations to key stakeholders.
Issue monthly departmental spend reports to budget holders and assist them in understanding the content and guidance to complete budgets and forecast information.
Manage all assets including verifications, additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Ensure all balance sheet accounts are updated and reconciled including support documentation and complete all compliance checklists.
Monitor Cash at hand and maintain daily cashflow.
Business Partnering:
Partner with the cells/functions, heads of functions to lead and develop financial process of the annual and long-term strategic plans.
Partner with budget holders to drive performance and help achieve business targets.
Budgets and Forecasts:
Collaborate with department heads to prepare annual budgets and forecasts.
Develop models to enable production of budgets and forecasts efficiently and accurately.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to highlight areas of concern or improvement.
Assist in developing strategies to align budgets with organizational goals.
Periodically prepare forecasts, as requested.
Payroll:
Prepare or oversee monthly payrolls.
Prepare the monthly payroll for all employees and ensure accurate and timely payment.
Make submissions to HMRC and the pension provider ensuring compliance with HMRC and Pension rules.
Tax:
Preparation of the quarterly vat return accurately and timely, including reconciling to the balance sheet.
Support in preparing data for corporation tax returns to our partner at Rolls-Royce to enable timely HMRC Submissions.
Statutory Audit and Accounts:
Maintain direct contact with the Auditors and ensure data requests are responded to on time.
Prepare the Statutory Accounts and facilitate signing.
