Job Description
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and proper classification of expenses and revenues.Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoice verification, payment processing, and customer billing.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budgeted targets and providing recommendations for improvement.Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization, revenue growth, and risk mitigation.Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, managing tax audits, and implementing tax planning strategies.internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate risks, and maintain compliance with financial policies and procedures.inventory Management: Work closely with the operations team to oversee inventory valuation, costing, and control, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.Financial Systems and Processes: Continuously evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and support business growth.Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and preparation of financial audits, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.Education/ExperienceQualifications:. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are highly desirable.. Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the diamond or luxury goods industry.. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.. Proficiency in using accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.. High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
