Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to share the responsibility, co-pilot the top line business and protect the bottom line with financial controls in place to achieve expected results in alignment with the overall objectives of the organizations that comprise the Wilson Composites family of companies.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with a minimum expectation of 45 hours per week. Late evening hours are required to have an overlap with the U.S.-based team.

Location

Marathon Icon, Lower Parel, Mumbai.

Key Accountabilities

Overall Accountability

  • Financial control, general accounting: Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, financial reporting, audits, and compliances. Ad-hoc reporting / MIS activities.
  • Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Work with the senior leadership team to manage and control financial metrics efficiently within the organizations.
  • Work with senior leadership on the company's funding-related financial diligence, and coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Work with the project management and purchasing teams to execute purchasing and purchase reconciliation activities.
  • Manage complexity and manage multiple stakeholders in a structured manner.
  • Prioritization of tasks and smooth operations.


Financial Books Closure
  • Responsible for review of periodical finance closure.
  • Ensure accurate reports as per Indian accounting standards and US GAAP.
  • Review of financial reports.
  • Drive efficiency in books closure process through automation of entries and activities.
  • Coordinate with the corporate team for consolidation activities and requirements.
  • Consolidate review of annual and quarterly submission related to financial reports.
  • Provide internal assurance on completeness and comprehensiveness of financial closure.


Review of Financials
  • Monthly/quarterly review of financial reports with the senior leadership team.
  • Review of receivables, cash flow schedule along with provisioning.
  • Streamline accounting practices across countries.
  • Review of statutory compliances and activities.
  • Review all contracts, understand implications on accounting and advise business teams accordingly.


Internal Controls
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Review of controls adequacy and driving simplification.
  • Drive and lead statutory and internal compliance.


Compliance
  • Review of compliance across all entities.
  • Liaison with legal and chartered accountant's team for review and closure of compliance activities, such as GST and Transfer/Export documentation.
  • Central force to drive regular training on accounting and controls.
  • Creating standard documentation for adherence of accounting policies for business and finance.

Education Qualification
  • Chartered Accountant
  • MBA in Finance
  • Additional certification courses in auditing/taxation/compliance


Relevant Work Experience
  • Minimum of 10 - 15 years
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end closure process.
  • Excellent in accounting software and general administration skills.
  • Hands-on manager, who is willing to get actively involved with and guide the team to achieve its desired goals.

Salary:
Rs. 25 lakhs to 40 lakhs per annum (negotiable based on experience)
