Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, under supervision, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Learn to analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for optimization.
- Support in forecasting and budgeting processes, contributing to strategic decision-making efforts.
- Assist in processing vendor invoices, verifying expenses, and ensuring payments are made on time.
- Gain experience in monitoring accounts receivable, assisting with follow-ups on outstanding invoices, and basic collections management.
- Learn to reconcile accounts and help resolve discrepancies under guidance.
- Shadow department heads to understand budget development and management processes.
- Participate in monitoring budget performance and contributing to regular updates to management.
- Contribute ideas for potential cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies under supervision.
- Support audit processes by assisting in preparing documentation and collaborating with auditors as required.
- Learn about internal controls and their role in mitigating financial risks.
- Gain exposure to maintaining financial systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Candidates with 6 months prior experience are preferred.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in finance or accounting.
- Basic understanding of financial principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel; knowledge of financial software applications is a plus.
- Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and develop problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in work.
- Good communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
