Payroll Manager
Location:
Grimsby area
Salary:
£33,389 - £36,828
Are you an experienced Senior Payroller or Payroll Manager looking for the next step in your career? Do you seek a new opportunity in the Grimsby area with a larger organisation where you can manage a small team and ensure the smooth running of payroll and pensions?
Responsibilities:
* Manage and Develop Payroll Department: Oversee the payroll department, ensuring the accurate and timely payroll of approximately 1,500 employees on a monthly basis.
* Team Management: Lead a team of 4 payroll clerks, ensuring efficient processing of payroll and pensions, including holidays, expenses, tax code adjustments, salary sacrifice, and other deductions.
* Compliance: Ensure full compliance with employment legislation and internal policies and procedures.
* Pension Management: Oversee the accurate monthly and annual returns for all pension schemes, meeting all deadlines.
* Administration: Assist with the administration of claims for extra payments and deductions, including travel, subsistence, overtime, and other authorized payments.
* Reporting: Generate reports both manually and from internal databases.
* Accuracy Monitoring: Monitor and check the accuracy of amendments to the payroll.
Skills Required:
* Payroll Experience: Comprehensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing.
* Software Proficiency: Proficiency in using payroll software.
* Calculations Knowledge: Understanding of all payroll calculations including MSP, SSP, tax codes, holidays, etc.
* Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
* Qualification: A payroll qualification is beneficial but not essential.

* Hours: 37 hours per week
