2 x Accountant positions have become available within a large public sector organisation in Blackpool. The roles provide varied exposure across finance operations including budgeting activities, project involvement, business partnering and accounts preparation.

Your New Role as Accountant:
Duties will include:
• Supporting with business planning and forecasting model preparation
• Cash flow management
• Assisting with year-end accounting requirements
• Preparing and monitoring budgets, liaising with and presenting to various internal stakeholders to deliver information and provide advice
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations and procedures
• Evaluating bids for resources and service developments, and completing grant claims and financial/statistical returns
• Provision of ad hoc reports as required
• Contributing to ongoing system developments
• Substituting for Managers within finance as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
The successful candidate will be fully qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA), or be actively studying and committed to completing full qualification (study support will be provided). Strong communication skills are required due to business partnering elements of the role, and strong budgeting and reporting skills are required.
