Finance Assistant
Nottingham
£26,468 - £30,040 per annum
We are seeking a Finance Officer to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. Reporting to the Rents and Ledgers Team Leader, you will be joining a small but efficient team of finance professionals, supporting them in the provision of effective and responsive financial services to the NCHA Group.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain and administer all processes and systems in relation to purchase and nominal ledgers, rent account postings, journal records
* ensuring invoices and receipts are processed efficiently; supplier, customer and rent statements are reconciled
* liaising with suppliers where required
* manage rents email; ensuring all rent income postings are logged; chasing any missing codes for posting and checking all refunds to rent accounts before forwarding for payment.
Experience:
* General working knowledge of finance
* Financial systems knowledge e.g. purchase ledger and/or sales ledger
* GCSE maths level 4 (C or above) or equivalent work experience
* Ability to work well with others and resolve problems constructively
* Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy even when under pressure
The role is 35 hours per week over 5 days; Monday to Friday. The role is partially agile, meaning you can work an agreed amount of days from home or from our offices, currently based in Sherwood Rise but moving to Clifton from September 2024.
You may be asked to complete a work related test as part of the interview process.
