Position: Billing Manager (MEP)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Billing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing, rate analysis, and cost control within our design and build projects. This position requires a strong understanding of billing processes, rate analysis, and financial management within the D&B industry.

Responsibilities:

Billing and Certification:
  • Verification of Bills
  • Prepare accurate and timely invoices for design and build projects.
  • Verify that invoices align with project specifications and contracts.
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve billing discrepancies.

Rate Analysis:
  • Perform rate analysis for construction materials, labour, and services.
  • Assess and compare rates to ensure cost efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Maintain a database of analysed rates for reference.

Cost Control:
  • Monitor project costs and expenditures.
  • Analyze cost trends and deviations from project budgets.
  • Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering.
  • Flag any changes in cost of project

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of billing, rate analysis, and cost control activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on billing status, rate analysis, and project finances.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support project and financial goals.

Vendor and Supplier Coordination:
  • Collaborate with procurement, designers and vendor management teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate billing from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Resolve billing and payment issues with vendors and suppliers.

Budget Adherence:
  • Assist in monitoring project budgets and adherence to financial plans.
  • Provide support to project managers in cost control and financial management.

Site Visits and auditing
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify project progress and ensure billing information aligns with actual work completed.
  • Develop and implement an auditing framework to assess billing accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure all billing practices adhere to industry regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.


What We Expect:
  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Proven 5+ years of experience in billing, rate analysis, and cost control within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of billing processes, rate analysis techniques, and financial management.
  • Proficiency in construction software and tools.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor coordination is a plus.
