Sewell Wallis are recruiting an Assistant Accountant for a Vehicle Supplier based in Nottingham. They're a well-established company with multiple sites across the Midlands. They are looking for someone to join their small, but growing, Accounts team to support the Finance Controller and Director.
As you'll be working in a small team you'll need to be adaptable and able to pick up additional tasks on an ad-hoc basis, which will add to the variety within your role and develop your exposure to new tasks.
What will you be doing?
Bank reconciliations.
Accruals and prepayments.
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Expenses.
Payroll on Sage 50.
Manage fixed asset register and depreciation.
General ledger cashbook posting.
Being able to oversee purchase ledger when needed. What skills are we looking for?
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Initiative to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Strong Excel skills.
Ideally you'll be part or fully AAT qualified.What's on offer?
Competitive salary of up to £29,000.
Pension contributions.
Study support for AAT .
31 days of leave (incl bank holidays).
