Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant (FTC) to join their Finance team.
Knowledge of general accounting and bookkeeping practices, as well as a strong work ethic, is required.
You will assist with the day-to-day tasks in the Finance department and play an integral role in the processing of invoices and recons, and other administrative, finance and office duties.
Based in Port Elizabeth.

- 1 - 2 years relevant experience will be advantageous.
- BCom Accounting degree (or equivalent).
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and other packages will be advantageous.
- Attention to detail.
- Understanding the basic principles of accounting.
- Team player.
- Ability to prioritise task and deadline driven.
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic.
- High impact, self-starting individual, resourceful and solutions driven.
- Analytically driven.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
- Full debtors' administration.
- Full supplier administration.
- Processing bank statement transactions in the cash book.
- Petty cash/credit card control.
- Processing journal entries.
- Assist with monthly recon files.
- Support month-end.
- VAT reconciliation.
- Additional Junior Accountant duties, as necessary.
