The Recruitment Co are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant for their Accountancy Practice client based in Dundee
Salary:
Depending on experience - Competitive
Location:
Dundee
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (Hybrid working is available)
Duties:
To plan accounts, ensuring that accurate resources are used, in a timely manner to ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
To prepare and review client accounts accurately to review stage, preparing clearly laid out explanatory notes to accompany accounts.
To support the delivery of client accounts and tax returns as required, ensuring that support is provided to Managers and that work completed is carried out according to best practice.
To follow up and manage any queries with the client in order to ensure that all relevant information and data is included in the final version.
To support the delivery of client audits as required, ensuring that support is provided to Managers and that work completed is carried out according to best practice.
To raise any audit queries with a relevant manager, ensuring the identification of risk and stating mitigation for identified risk.
To ensure rigorous adherence to HMRC and other legislative requirements at all points during client delivery
Attend, participate and contribute to meetings with clients
Required Skills:
Minimum 12 - 18 Months work experience Accountancy Practice - Essential
AAT qualified or have equivalent experience. If you're still studying towards a professional qualification, study support will be provided
Strong numerical and data analysis skills are a must, as is the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet tight deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Proficient in using accounting software packages, such as Sage or XeroPerks:
