ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Accountant will coordinate and direct all general accounting activities and deliver key financial management reports.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with the monthly reconciliation process and identify ways to streamline the process.
Back up/assist with daily accounting functions as needed.
Ensures the internal control policies and procedures for all financial activities are current and active.
Ensures that financial reports comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
Analyses job reports for accuracy and provides recommendations for improvements.
Reviews job contracts to ensure compliance with company standards.
Works with insurance agent to procure insurance certificates and bonds as needed.
Assists with the preparation of periodic financial statements and activity reports.
Prepare journal entries and reconcile subsidiary accounts.
Provides management with short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
Maintains knowledge of organizational procedures, federal and state regulations, and accounting standards.

WHO YOU ARE
Experience: Minimum 7+ years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the construction industry
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or Business Administration
Excellent verbal and written communications
Excellent and highly accurate math and accounting skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with accounting software preferred
