Purpose: This role will support the site in delivering its objectives by providing timely and accurate information. Helping to drive culture and performance change, this role is one of the key supports for the Site’s Site Accountant
Key Responsibilities\Measures of Success
• Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly files
• Analyse data, investigating & reporting on anomalies
• Identification and tracking of gaps in performance
• Involved in budgeting & reforecasting process
• Prepare monthly journals, with reconciliation to weeklies
• Support in checking Site monthly submissions are SOX compliant
• Be No 2 when Site Accountant is unavailable
• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Provide an excellent customer service by building strong relationships at all levels of the business
• To carry out other duties that may reasonably be requested of you to ensure the efficient running of the business
Skills & Knowledge
• Motivated self-starter
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent organisation and admin skills with attention to detail essential
• Ability to work as part of a team but also use own initiative
• Work effectively under tight deadlines contributing to a busy and dynamic environment
• Excellent skills with MS Office, particularly Excel
• Experience of working within a finance function in a large organisation
• Experience of working with an ERP system, ideally SAP
• Experience of producing daily and weekly reports to a short deadline; product costing knowledge
• Experience of the FMCG environment
Qualifications [Accredited]
• AAT qualified and studying towards further professional qualification such as CIMA
