Axon Moore are partnering with a longstanding organisation in Preston to recruit an ambitious, Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to work for an industry leading business, working as part of a superb collaborative team reporting to a highly knowledgeable Finance Director and leading a small, established team.

Our client is open to candidates from industry or first time movers who have had exposure to audit or accounts prep for manufacturing clients.

Candidates must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, looking to take a progressive step and able to manage multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities include:

Monthly management information reports and management of month end procedures
Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Management of Quarterly stocktake procedures
Payroll preparation and reporting
Management of Annual Statutory Audit
Margin analysis
Manage the monthly closing of the General Ledger ensuring the financial data accuracy
Assist in the yearly budget preparation
Review of Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliation
Management of a small finance team
Ad hoc project work around continuous improvements
