Anderson Knight are currently engaged with a key client in South Lanarkshire who is seeking to recruit the position of a Finance Manager. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the key duties will be to manage a small finance team and provide value add to the month end process and identify key risks within the operational and commercial activities.
The key duties of this role will include:
* Complete the month end reporting requirements and Balance Sheet reviews in line with the financial close process
* Support the Operational & Commercial teams on decision making
* Ensure compliance of key controls, work instructions and Standard operating processes
* Narrative and analysis of weekly trading, working closely with the commercial team understand movements
* Support Budget and forecasting preparation for operational activities
* Meet all Statutory requirements regarding VAT, Tax, PAYE & Payroll
* Lead on any cost reduction projects
* Financial and cash flow planning
* Maintain finance compliance and recommend improvements
* Support decision-making with insightful analysis and idea generation
* Understand stock and understand impact of stock usage on the business
* Able to budget and forecast and provide support to the Head of Finance
* Liaise with auditors ensuring year end time-table met
* Be an active member of SMT and ensure finance delivers for the wider business
The ideal candidate will possess the following the key skills:
* Fully Qualified
* Ability to work and lead within non financial staff
* Excellent analytical skills
* Strong team player with flexible attitude to work priorities
* Ability to work within tight deadlines and manage time effectively
* Experienced in month end processing
* Sage experience (desirable)
