Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant looking for a part-time position?
We are supporting a company based in Brentwood who is looking for an office based Purchase Ledger Assistant to work 25-27.5 hours per week. Ideally you would work either 10am - 4pm, 10am - 4:30pm or 10am - 5pm, there is flexibility on the hours for the right candidate, however you must work over 5 days.
Duties will include:
Maintaining a busy accounts email inbox
Ensure all bank reconciliations for GBP & Euro bank accounts, Western Union and Petty Cash are completed monthly by the required deadline
Using Sage 200 to process credit card transactions and reconcile monthly, entering bank transactions, processing supplier invoices and reconciling statements
Complete all purchase ledger processes including reconciling supplier invoices to the PO and resolving differences
Postponed VAT Accounting: Ensuring all supplier invoices are processed with the correct tax code in accordance with PVA rules, monthly reconciliation of PVA and C79 statements
Manage the staff expenses process, ensuring VAT receipts are supplied, and setting up bank payments
Provide a weekly update to the Finance ManagerThe salary range (FTE) is £24k - £27k depending on experience, which will be pro-rata to 25-27.5 hours per week.
You must be self-motivated with good communication and organisational skills. If you are able to think outside the box and think on your feet then this would be the perfect role for you.
