Payroll Assistant position within a forward thinking accountancy practice based in Hyde. They are a general practice with over 5 decades worth of experience, developing a number of specialisms. Mostly working with small and medium sized businesses.

You would be reporting to the payroll managing, assisting their day to day duties. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious accountant with strong future aspirations to join a steady practice who can develop and assist their growth.

Payroll Assistant Position Overview

Payroll Processing - Assist in the preparation and processing of client payroll
Data Entry - Enter and update payroll information such as employee details, hours worked, overtime, and deductions into the payroll system
Compliance - Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
Employee Queries - Address and resolve payroll-related queries from clients
Record Maintenance - Maintain accurate payroll records
Reconciliations - Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts
Year-end processes - Support the year-end payroll processes

Payroll Assistant Position Requirements

2-3 years minimum experience in accountancy practice
Maths and English GCSE's
AAT or ACCA (studying) preferred
Able to commute daily to Hyde
UK citizen and no requirement for visa sponsorship
Competent in Sage software
