We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant, who is enthusiastic and motivated to join the finance team at our Chorley Depot. Reporting to the Accounts Supervisor you will be expected to work on your own initiative to execute tasks in a timely manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Preparation of daily banking BACS, cheques and cash
  • Ensure accurate allocation of all customer receipts in a timely manner.
  • Assist credit controller to resolve customer queries.
  • Processing purchase invoice
  • Dealing with supplier queries.
  • General admin duties and supporting wider office team as required.


Skills and Experience
  • Relevant experience working in a finance team.
  • Previous Sales ledger and Purchase ledger experience
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Methodical and organised
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to work successfully in a close team environment
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good IT and excel skills

Hours
  • Monday to Friday, (37.5 hours)
  • 8.30am 4.30pm
