My client a leading FMCG Retailer in Cape Town has an exciting new vacancy for a Accounts Receivable Manager.
PURPOSE:
To strategically manage credit risk in the business.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
assessments and management of credit limits, maintaining sufficient
securities, liaising with retailers in terms of account status and queries,
analyse and review of retailers' financial performance and cashflow, manage
store ownership change processes, review, management and report on
exposure, store feasibilities and debt recovery

PURPOSE:
To strategically manage credit risk in the business.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
- Credit Management. Responsible for all membership / credit applications,
assessments and management of credit limits, maintaining sufficient
securities, liaising with retailers in terms of account status and queries,
analyse and review of retailers' financial performance and cashflow, manage
store ownership change processes, review, management and report on
exposure, store feasibilities and debt recovery
- Lead an accounts receivable team
- Talent Management - Attract, develop and retain talent within your
area of responsibility
- Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures and
performance indicators
- Ensure effective systems and processes are in place for the control
and management of customer queries
- Promote effective inter departmental communication
- Assist with administration of DC-run stores
- Facilitate financing applications and analysing store feasibility studies
- Manage all litigation in consultation with panel of attorneys and other
DC Departments
THE PERSON MUST SATISFY THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES
- BCom / BProc / LLB degree or Diploma in Credit Management or,
other relevant qualifications
- 5-7 Years Credit Management experience in Commercial FMCG
environment
- Thorough understanding of all relevant and applicable
legislation, including National Credit Act, Companies Act,
Insolvency law.
- Experience in handling legal matters, including liquidations and
business rescue
- Must be analytical and pay attention to detail
- Team Player who can also work independently
- Financial Accounting and analysis skills
- Assertive
- Must be computer literate (AS400 and or SAP experience
advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
- Above average leadership skills and be able to motivate a team
- Good interpersonal skills
