Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. This includes preparing financial reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Accountant will work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support, and will assist in developing and implementing financial strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
A) Prepare and analyze financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
B) Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations.
C) Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
D) Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and procedures.
E) Provide financial analysis and guidance to management to support decision-making.
F) Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
G) Coordinate with external auditors and provide support during audits.
H) Monitor financial transactions and identify areas for improvement in internal controls.
I) Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
J) Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
K) Prepare and file GST returns accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with all GST laws and regulations.
L) Review and reconcile GST transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
M) Monitor changes in GST legislation and regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
N) Provide guidance and support to the finance team on GST-related matters, including GST treatment of transactions, input tax credit eligibility, and GST implications on business activities.
O) Assist in GST audits and assessments by providing necessary documentation and explanations to tax authorities.
P) Identify opportunities to optimize GST processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize risk.
Q) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including tax, legal, and operations, to ensure GST compliance in all aspects of the business.
R) Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to GST compliance and incorporate relevant changes into the company's practices.
S) Prepare and maintain documentation related to GST compliance, including records of GST registrations, filings, and correspondence with tax authorities.
T) Participate in special projects and initiatives related to GST compliance, as assigned by management.
