Job Summary
As an experienced Reinsurance Reporting professional with a reinsurance and statutory reporting background, you will play a key role in providing timely financial reporting and supporting the reinsurance program.
You understand insurance company financials, are proactive, detail-oriented, and professional, with the ability to research trends and identify root causes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee or prepare standard monthly journal entries for reinsurance contracts
Assist with preparing monthly reporting packages
Ensure compliance with internal controls and maintain proper documentation
Support preparation of Schedule F for NAIC annual statement filing
Prepare assigned financial statements and related footnotes
Assist with preparing Quarterly and Annual Statutory financial statements
Provide input on financial projections and reinsurance program design
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
3+ years property & casualty reinsurance insurance experience, preferably with a homeowner's insurer or reinsurer
Exposure to XOL CAT, Quota Share, and Cat Bond agreements
ARE, CPA, and CPCU designations are desired
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
Hands-on ability to prepare work papers to support transactions
Self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and able to work independently
Knowledge of QuickBooks general ledger
Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivots, Macros)
