The business has over 500 staff in three core business units with 7 sites around the country. The business operates in the manufacturing and distribution industry and continues to see growth year on year. Due to the size and strength of the business, they provide ample growth opportunities for their employees.
The Role
This role will provide broad exposure for someone wanting to develop their career. The role will focus primarily on providing support relating to financial reporting and tax obligations of entities within the Group. Some of your key responsibilities will include;
- Month-end processing
- Monthly reporting for centralized functions
- GL reconciliations
- Tax compliance including FBT, GST and income tax returns
- Financial analysis, particularly as it relates to stock

- Various special projects and ad hoc support
Due to the size and complexity of the business, there are opportunities to get exposure across the board. The business is also embarking on a systems upgrade soon which will provide fantastic exposure for the right candidate.
Your profile:
The ideal candidate will be someone with an enquiring mind who is technically competent but can also build effective relationships across the business, and actively partner with finance and non-finance stakeholders. Some of your key traits will include:
- CA qualification or someone studying towards this (they can support)
- An ability to think for yourself and ask "why"
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across the business
- A team player and desire to "roll up your sleeves"
- A desire to contribute, learn and develop professionally
