The accountant will ensure that the creditors department operates smoothly, maintain accurate and complete records regarding payments to suppliers, lenders, and employees, process payments from clients, and hire, train, and support Accounts Payable staff members. The person will also serve as a liaison between the Accounts Payable department and external parties, including lenders, suppliers, and government agencies.

Desired Experience & Qualification

5 to 10 years' experience in financial accounting.

5 years' experience in managing the creditors' department of a company.

3 years' experience in export administration and documentation.

3 years' experience in liaising with clearing and forwarding agents.

Accounting experience in the FMCG and/or Foods industry will be beneficial.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP skills are required.
• B-Comm or similar accounting degree.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operating expenses of the company up to trial balance as well as ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The person will assist with the Balance Sheet reconciliations and monthly reporting.
