Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Credit Counselor to join our team. The Senior Credit Counselor will be responsible for providing expert financial guidance and counseling to clients facing debt-related challenges. This role requires strong communication skills, deep knowledge of credit and debt management principles, and the ability to empower clients to achieve their financial goals.



Responsibilities:


Conduct thorough financial assessments for clients to evaluate their debt obligations, income, expenses, and overall financial health.
Develop comprehensive debt management plans customized to each client's unique financial situation and goals.
Educate clients on budgeting techniques, money management strategies, debt reduction methods, and credit building practices.
Negotiate with creditors on behalf of clients to establish feasible repayment arrangements, reduce interest rates, or settle outstanding debts.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the debt repayment process, addressing any questions, concerns, or setbacks that arise.
Monitor clients' progress towards achieving their financial objectives and make adjustments to debt management plans as necessary.
Stay updated on changes in consumer credit laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to clients.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as financial planners, attorneys, and social workers, to offer holistic support and resources to clients.
Maintain detailed and confidential records of client interactions, financial assessments, and debt management plans.
Conduct financial literacy workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs to promote credit education and debt prevention.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Certified Credit Counselor) preferred.
