Organization Description: Jaipur Rugs is a social enterprise that connects rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets. It is a family run business that offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art form. The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. It has an end-to-end business model, right from sourcing of wool to exporting a finished handmade rug. The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to more than 45 countries with the US sales arm, Jaipur Living, Inc. located in Georgia, Atlanta.

Job Description: The specific responsibilities of the position holder will be (though not restricted to) the following:

1. Working Capital Management
  • Utilization of Loan Funds to be reduced by 15 - 20% vis-a-vis the increase in Sales thereby reducing the Interest Cost.
  • Increasing the bottom line by Reduction in Interest Cost by negotiating with the Banker in reducing the Interest Rate on Working Capital limits & Term Loan.
  • Analyzing, pursuing and ensuring timely & faster realization from Export Debtors and reducing the Avg. Debtors collection period.
  • Analysis and ensuring reduction in Obsolete/old Inventory (Raw Material / Finished Carpets)
  • Variance Analysis between Budget and Actual figures for and taking action thereon.
  • Credit Rating Improvement from current BBB+ with increase in top line.
  • Product and Process Costing to analyze and minimize the Cost and attain better margins.

2. Reduction in Indirect Cost
  • Analyze and ensure reduction in major Indirect Cost heads in proportion to the Sales.
  • Salary by Analyzing the Avg. Departmental salary vis a vis the Total Sales.
  • Repairs & Maintenance - Initiating Preventive Maintenance Schedule
  • Identification of new freight forwarder in view of optimum cost with better services Vis a Vis increase sales to effect better negotiations.

3. Other Compliance Parameters
  • Faster Export documentation processing at Bank, so that MEIS/FPS license issuance is expedited.
  • Timely Compliance of Statutory obligations.

4. Simplifying & Standardization of Process
  • Ensure implementation of internal financial control and robust financial system and processes such as Procurement to Pay, Order Processing to Cash, and Record to reporting.
  • E-invoicing implementation in ERP to ensure adherence to Amendment in GST Act and Real time Invoice processing.
  • Minimize grievances from Supplier/ Weavers.

Academic and Professional Qualifications:
  • Post-graduate in CA
  • Degree in Financial Accounting or Financial Management would be an added benefit.
  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager/ CFO.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Minimum ten+ years of work experience in a finance & accounting environment.
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual & problem-solving skills.
  • GST knowledge updates in context of the company on fortnightly basis regarding time to time amendments.
  • Ability to multi-task and Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Expert in MS-Office and ERP/SAP (Industrial Software).
  • Energetic, Motivated individuals with good Academic track record
