ABOUT THE ROLE
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Officer to join the team. Based in Auckland, the key focus of the role is the provision of all transactions for AP; providing general administration tasks and main banks reconciliations.
The role contributes to the profitability by ensuring customer payments are received in good time and bad debts are minimised.
Key Responsibilities include:
Payables Processing
- Processing of Company accounts payable transactions
- Ensuring compliance with payment requirements and company policies, including Delegated Authorities
- Ensure all incoming paperwork is handled according to company policy.
- Daily reconciliation of AP and bank accounts
- Handle payment queries with both internal and external customers
- Enter and upload payments to the bank ready for authorising, including supplier payments, international supplier payments, expense claims and rent payment.
Month End Closing
- Relevant month end tasks for accounts payable processes, including:
- AP Foreign Currency revaluation
- Vendor ageing reconciliations for internal and external vendors to Trial Balance
- Complete supplier statement reconciliations
- Ensuring all service providers such as Vehicle lease and utilities are processed.
- Support the team with closing processes as required.
General & Administration
- Bank Statement downloaded daily and sending to AR for processing
- Primary administrator of company credit card online system
- Daily maintenance of the Accounts Payable mailbox.
- Assist in the maintenance of the mailroom when required
- Ensure all IRD and statutory payments are processed on time
- Netting Payment processing and monthly supplier statements reconciliations
- Assist other members of the Finance Department when required e.g.; daily banking of cheques, debtor statements and learning other functions within the department
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter, you will have strong communication and people skills with a can-do attitude. Additionally, you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in similar role.
- End to end Accounts Payable experience.
- Previous Microsoft Dynamics experience highly desirable.
- Experience with using a Tier 1 ERP system (JDE, SAP or D365 etc)
