We are looking for TAX Manager Corporate / ASC 740 to join our team. TAX Services Team delivers quality tax solutions to public and privately owned middle-market companies, not-for-profit organizations and high net worth individuals.

  • Advise clients on corporate tax and income tax accounting (ASC 740) matters
  • Help determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client s business and to identify possible tax solutions
  • Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client
  • Manage and review the preparation of US corporate federal, state and local tax return, estimates and extensions. Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation/review.
  • Manage and review the preparation of U.S. income tax provision calculation under ASC 740, including coordination with client engagement tax and assurance teams, as needed. Research, document and apply the ASC 740 principles to the calculation, including:

1. Calculation of return to provision (RTP) and effective tax rate (ETR) for provision

2. Calculation of current tax expense and tax payable (receivable)

3. Calculation of deferred tax expense and deferred tax assets and liabilities

4. Validation and understanding of deferred tax tie outs and ASC 740-10 (Fin 48)

5. Preparation and review of tax account roll forward summary and proof of balances
  • Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities.
  • Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them.

  • Bachelors / Master s degree with a major in accounting and CPA (US) preferred. If not a CPA (US), must meet educational requirements to obtain the same upon hire).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in US Taxation.
  • Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred.
  • Proficient in U.S. corporate taxation and US GAAP.
  • Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 principles and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with IAS 12, Income Taxes under IFRS would be a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience.
  • Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements.
  • Ability to work overtime, as needed.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
