As an Account Manager (Client Business Manager), you will be responsible for understanding and analysing client needs to formulate a medium to long-term strategy for the continual development of the business. You will ensure all communications are managed to maintain client satisfaction and, where applicable, liaise with colleagues internationally to secure client retention and maximise growth. Minimum requirements:Contract Management - Understand the terms of the contract to ensure that contractual commitments are continually met.
Strategic & Financial Planning - Identify various objectives that will assist in maintaining and moving the business relationship forward. Set goals and produce creative, measurable, and
workable plans to achieve them, communicating the plans.
Management Information - Have knowledge and understanding of client expenditure, trends, and travel patterns
Project Management - Evaluate the needs for specific projects for the customer
Communication management - Responsible for account ownership and co-ordination of all client communication
Internal Communication - Establish and develop strong relationships with all internal personnel associated with
portfolio of accounts (operations, finance, Marketing, Yield Management, etc.)
External Communication - Organise, prepare, and/or participate in customer events/training seminars where appropriate

Knowledge & skills Formal education
  • Grade 12
  • Technical/legal certification
  • Experience - At least 2-3 years experience in a customer relations position within the travel and tourism industry, as a preference from a travel consulting background preferred
  • At least 1 year of Account management experience
