Your new role
Supporting the Children and Young Peoples' (CYP) department, you will be specifically responsible for setting the Dedicated Schools Grant (DSG) budgets and will support other CYP services.
You will provide business partnering support to budget holders and you will also work effectively with external stakeholders.

This post will lead on key statutory returns to DFE/ ESFA, plans and reports to Schools Forum and the Council. Managing a small team, you will be able to set clear objectives and will be effective in developing the team's skills and knowledge to ensure that budget holders and other stakeholders, including schools and Schools Forum, receive a great service.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant and will ideally have local authority schools and education finance experience. You will have previous experience of managing teams and be comfortable setting clear objectives and timelines as well as developing the team's skills and knowledge.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital as the role involves report writing and presentation of reports.
