Cirkla's founding team has deep domain knowledge & experience in building global businesses. Vaibhav (IITB, Kellogg School of Management), Ankur (IIT Kharagpur, ISB) and Kapil (Indian Institute of Packaging, NMIMS) have worked across startups, strategy consulting, reputed CPG firms such as Unilever, P&G and J&J, and have built multiple businesses from the ground-up.

We are working with some of the largest Food, Pharma, & CPG firms globally. We are HQ'd in the US and have an India Subsidiary, along with team members in China, and EU as well.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manager - Accounts & Finance to join our dynamic start-up. This role will be crucial in managing the financial operations for both our US headquarters and our Indian subsidiary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a deep understanding of both US and Indian accounting and reporting requirements and working knowledge of Indian statutory and payroll.

What You'll Do

1. Accounting and Financial Management:
  • Oversee and manage the accounting functions for both US and India
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Conduct monthly book closing and reconcile all accounts
  • Prepare and manage cash flow statements to ensure liquidity

2. Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Oversee the AP & AR processes
  • Ensure timely invoicing and collections from clients
  • Manage vendor payments and maintain accurate AP records

3. Expense Management:
  • Record, monitor, and clear all company expenses
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and budgets
  • Handle employee reimbursements and expense reports

4. Statutory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements including TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other applicable laws
  • Prepare and file all necessary returns and reports on time
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed

5. Import and Export Transactions:
  • Manage Bill of Entry (BOE) and ORM mapping for import and export transactions
  • Ensure compliance with relevant import/export regulations

6. Purchase Orders (PO) and Sales Orders (SO):
  • Create and manage PO's and SO's
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all orders
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to streamline processes

7. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare financial reports and present insights to the senior management team
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs

8. Payroll Management:
  • Oversee payroll processing for India employees
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, and bonuses
  • Manage payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees


Who you are
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience:Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Experience in a start-up environment is a plus
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards. Familiarity with TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other Indian statutory requirements. Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus
  • Skills: Proficient in Zoho books and MS Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
