About the role

An opportunity has arisen for a Commissions Specialist to join our Finance team, based in Tauranga. This is a 12-month fixed term role, with full time hours Monday to Friday.

Reporting to the Commissions Team Leader, this role is part of a team of 3 commissions team members. The role is primarily tasked with ensuring timely and accurate calculation of monthly payments to Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) financial intermediaries and commission-based Advisers. This position works closely with other teams to achieve the required calculation outcomes, including other Finance team members, our Advisory network, and our Payroll team.

The role is also required to:
  • Calculate Commission Advisers payments, and input payments into Adviser statements
  • Review and monitor Commission calculations
  • Provide revenue and commission reporting to Advisers
  • Import commissions journals, and reconcile commissions accounts as required
  • Provide cover for Commission Administrators
  • Assist Advisers with queries related to their commission payments.
  • Assist in accounting and finance related tasks, as required from time to time.

About You

Relevant finance or business administration qualifications, or equivalent work experience, is preferred. The position requires a high degree of data input accuracy (primarily using Excel), and the ability to work to strict deadlines. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills (essential)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail (essential)
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office user (particularly Excel)
  • Self-starter with the ability to show initiative.
