About The Role

Working alongside the Unit Finance Manager and Territory Lead, the financial Accountant is responsible for overseeing all finance operations.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Responsibility for the monthly financial reporting, credit management, taxation, treasury (including banking, mandates, bonds), and internal controls in the country.
  • Management of country working capital to ensuring prompt processing of invoicing; investigation and clearance of any invoicing queries and cash collections
  • Regular meetings with stakeholders for the review of country specific finance issues and recognize corrective action. Provide financial information for stakeholders as required.
  • Production of annual budgets and forecasts at country level.
  • Constant review of actual performance to budget and provide variance explanations.
  • Production of statutory accounts, branch and tax returns for entities.
  • Responsible for the calculation and submission of vat returns
  • Co-ordinate project and country compliance with Group Directives including insurances, trade licenses and registrations as required.
  • Support with internal/ external audit

  • IT and standard industry software skills

  • Able to manage multiple deliverables on geographically and culturally diverse businesses.
  • Dedicated team player with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels including external stakeholders.
  • Adopting a proactive approach towards complex tasks and overall delivery
  • Sound knowledge of professional and international standards

Required Qualification

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant experience
  • Proven ability to produce accurate reports to tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical ability with effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid statutory financial background
