My client is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join their team and lead their financial operations to new heights.

This role is based in Midrand
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review annual financial statements monthly in compliance with IFRS.
  • Prepare the quarterly financial section of board packs.
  • Control financial aspects of the business unit regarding budgets, overhead costs, recoveries, cash flow, and working capital.
  • Ensure relevant processes and procedures are documented, registered, controlled, and implemented following standard methodologies and practices.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the divisions Business Plans based on inputs from various units.
  • Perform monthly management accounting and analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Maintain financial accounting and costing records, including general ledgers, accounts receivable, inventory ledgers, accounts payable, payroll, and expense reports.
  • Compile budgets and forecasts for the upcoming year.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors and take responsibility for audit requirements.
  • Prepare Income Tax packs.
  • Handle VAT and other tax requirements and queries.
  • Continuously assess and improve financial controls and reporting as necessary.
  • Manage cash flow forecasts, bank reconciliations, and treasury operations.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register and its reconciliations.
  • Coordinate and support internal processes to ensure compliance with business guidelines.
  • Manage financial risk, including insurance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional accounting qualification preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a dynamic business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Proven experience in budget management, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
