Purpose of the Job: Reporting to the Manager: Payment Management, the successful incumbent is responsible for helping RAF find the most efficient way to manage cash flow, offering solutions when problems may arise.
Key Performance Areas Transactional Banking Oversee the daily liquidity management and reporting. Process both outgoing and incoming payments in line with RAF standards Handle, process different types of direct debits and management of claims and investigation. Manage daily communication and processing of requests. Ensure adherence to petty cash management controls in line with the policy Review petty cash expenditure journals. Review monthly bank reconciliations Review actual inflow and outflows of the approved cash flow forecast. Review daily funding requests Upload bank attachment journals Review and upload bank statement journals. Monitor bank statement upload from bankers to internal accounting system. Review monthly fuel levy reconciliation and calculation. Perform transactional banking administration for approval by Manager. Assists RAF in identifying the best possible way to manage cash inflows and outflows and suggest appropriate solutions to the problems while managing the cash flows. Assist in offering security services to improve relationships between banking corporations, RAF, and partners. Perform transactional banking administration. Revenue Management Ensure the monthly fuel levy revenue is received timeously from SARS. Oversee the transfer of fuel levy to Investment account. Reporting Aid in the development of functional reporting systems, for management, project or performance reporting. Report regularly and periodically perform necessary submissions as and when required to provide progress updates and/ or inform management decisions. Stakeholder Management Maintain strong banking relationship in order to ensure that business process continues without interruption. Guide internal stakeholders on Petty Cash Policy usage. Review funding requirements and communicate to Investment unit. Ensure proactive and progressive relationships with key stakeholders. Address inquiries and requests for information from both internal and external stakeholders. People Management Ensure that good employee relations are maintained. Provide ongoing operational support to employees. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree/ Advanced Diploma in Accounting/ Business Science related qualification. Relevant 4 years' experience in a Transactional Banking related environment of which 1 year must have been on a supervisory level. Hands-on experience with accounting software and statistical packages will be an added advantage. Technical and Behavioral Competencies Required Planning, organising and coordinating.
