If you have robust experience of managing financial functions (such as sales and purchase ledger) and performing commercial analysis to identify areas for improvement and gather meaningful MI, this will be a fantastic role for you. It's a lovely role, working as part of a very lively team, all office-based. Reporting to the Financial Controller and the Board, you will be responsible for overseeing the various finance functions (Accounts Payable/Receivable & Credit Control) within the business;

  • Managing workflow of various departments within the accounting function
  • Line management of ledger clerks
  • Signing off timesheets for submission to an outsourced payroll company
  • Managing departmental reporting
  • Contributing to financial analysis to create succinct and meaningful KPI
  • Exception reporting and sales figure analysis


In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be highly proficient in transactional finance as well as financial reporting. You will need some line management experience (ideally in a finance setting...... but other industry experience would be relevant!) and you will need to be a great business partner....... cascading timely and relevant information to your department and liaising across other areas of the organisation in order to keep yourself and your team up to date with changes across the business.
You will need intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills and experience of working with ERP systems in a commercial setting. This would be a fantastic role for a QBE/AAT or ACCA studying candidate in a senior ledger or supervisory role who is looking for the next step in their career.
