Location:
StanstedHours: 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday




Salary:
up to 32K depending on experience


Role Overview:

We are seeking a diligent Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of the Purchase Ledger Function under the guidance of the Finance Manager. This role requires strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.

As a Purchase Ledger Assistant, your primary responsibilities and duties includes:
  • Processing invoices, which involves reconciling purchase orders, obtaining invoice approvals, and verifying delivery notes.
  • Managing the monthly BACS payment run.
  • Executing weekly supplier payment runs.
  • Collaborating with relevant departments to allocate cost values to work orders.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
  • Establishing new supplier accounts and ensuring the accuracy of existing account details within the accounting system.
  • Promoting positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Managing the processing of business expense returns.
  • Completing any other duties as necessary.

Skills and Experience:
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger Assistant or Finance role.
  • Ability to challenge current processes and suggest improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team working abilities.
  • Capable of meeting monthly deadlines.
  • Proficient with IT, particularly intermediate Excel skills.

Desirable:
  • Experience in relevant industries is advantageous but not essential.
