We are currently working alongside an SME business based in Blackburn who are looking for a P/T Accounts Assistant to work in the finance department and support the finance manager. (Approx . 25 hours)

The business works within a niche area of expertise but are the leading provider across the UK, they have a solid customer base and have worked closely with them year on year, so relationship building and customer service is high on the agenda.

Duties as Accounts Assistant will include: -
  • Process the purchase ledger invoices, matching orders and delivery notes with a full authorisation process.
  • Produce the supplier statement and monthly payment schedule.
  • Monitor the credit control process and cashflow, particularly are seasonal peaks, raising credit notes where required.
  • Collate the payroll details on a weekly basis and liaise with departmental managers on changes.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with controls and processes across the department.
  • Support the preparation of the audit pack and associated paperwork.
