A manufacturing company is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their financial team. The Finance Manager's core duties include analyzing financial data, crafting budgets/forecasts, offering strategic guidance, mitigating risks, and ensuring financial objectives harmonize with the broader organizational goals to enhance profitability and business expansion. The ideal candidate must exhibit leadership qualities, foster financial and operational efficiencies, and shoulder responsibility for enhancing overall business performance.

As a Financial Manager you will responsible for the following:
  • Leading and supervising financial accounting operations to foster business expansion and monitor performance effectively.
  • Ensuring adherence to finance governance and implementing continuous improvements within the finance function.
  • Delivering comprehensive financial reports to illuminate business insights and facilitate decision-making, presenting regular reviews of management accounts to executives.
  • Streamlining month-end finalization processes through SOP implementation and coordinating cost-saving initiatives.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with group reporting timelines and financial standards.
  • Managing working capital efficiently, including debtor and supplier relationship management and stock control.
  • Understanding and managing capital expenditure requirements, asset utilization, and conducting capex reporting and EVA modeling.
  • Overseeing yearly financial audits, tax calculations, and ensuring timely submission of budgets and forecasts to the group.
  • Engaging with finance staff for training, identifying areas of improvement, and fostering optimal team performance.
  • Cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the finance department.
  • Driving Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) and reviewing/signing off on payroll reports regularly.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance and providing insights into manufacturing and product costing.
  • Facilitating the import process.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
  • Completed BCom with articles
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Manufacturing industry experience is preferred
