Role overview:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. You will manage daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.

How you will succeed:

- Invoice Processing: Success will come from your ability to efficiently process invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

- Previous experience of Subcontractor processes and CIS (Construction Industry Scheme).

- Data Analysis: Using your data analysis skills to track and report on key metrics, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.

- Compliance: Ensuring all transactions comply with financial policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.

-Collaboration: Working closely with the finance team and other departments to resolve any issues, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

-Time Management: Organising and prioritising workload to meet deadlines, even under pressure, ensuring smooth and efficient accounts payable operations.

What it takes:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Packages: Strong skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook are essential for managing and analysing financial data.

- Data Analysis: Ability to analyse data accurately, identifying trends and discrepancies to support decision-making processes.

- P2P Processes: A solid understanding of Purchase to Pay (P2P) processes is crucial for managing the accounts payable function effectively.

- Accuracy and Quality: A high standard of accuracy and quality in your work is essential to maintain the integrity of financial data.

- Time Management: Ability to work under pressure, organising and prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines.

- Team Player: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
