Description:Position Title: Accounting ClerkSalary Classification: Non- ExemptReports to: ControllerSupervises: N/ASummary: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for working with several internal teams and external vendors to complete accounts payable procedures, including vendor invoice processing, providing administrative support to ensure effective and efficient accounts payable operations, and other accounting duties. JOB DUTIES: Include but are not limited to the following:Verifies the accuracy of vendor invoices (compares purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges) and confirms that the correct GL codes and department codes are used and ensures proper documentation of approvalReviews invoices for correct sales & use tax applied and assists in applicable researchCompletes daily data entry of invoices in the ERP systemCommunicates with vendors regarding invoice payments or other issuesEnsures invoices are paid in a timely and accurate mannerVerifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsRecords daily credit card transactions to correct GL codes and department codes and ensures proper documentation of approvalSupports the accounting department and performs any additional functions as needed to ensure the success of the department and CompanyProvides administrative and clerical support Any additional responsibility deemed necessary by managementRequirements:MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:Associates in accounting, finance, or related field plus 2 years' experience OR Bachelors in accounting, finance, or related fieldREQUIRED SKILLS:Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, analytical, follow-up, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and ability to create useful and actionable reports from dataPossesses strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on a deadlinePossesses strong written and verbal communications skillsUnderstanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting and working knowledge of modern office practices and proceduresWorking knowledge of computers and electronic data processingProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis in Microsoft ExcelPI81fb3a845f18-25660-34630937
