About the role

As our Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will support the business in their preparation for and understanding of regulatory change and engagement within their business functions.

Working closely with other subject matter experts, you will support with the responses to consultations and have continued development and oversight over regulatory compliance, conduct and culture activities, including the maintenance of the engagement register, guidance documents, training and processes relevant to the regulatory affairs function.

Working with key stakeholders you will be responsible for preparing for upcoming legislative change through proactive horizon scanning and maintaining industry awareness, then partnering to support the business through the required operational changes to maintain appropriate compliance. This will include providing timely and relevant reporting to various internal governance forums.

About you
  • A legal background (LLB or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience in legal/regulatory matters gained within financial services, insurance or health
  • Practical experience in the provision of legal advice or supporting regulatory compliance in mid to large sized businesses
  • Ability to balance regulatory readiness and regulatory delivery with the agility of juggling multiple competing business priorities - standing strong on critical aspects, demonstrating 'smart risk taking' on the discretionary aspects
  • Translation of regulatory frameworks into practical adoption and culture for business context
  • Ability to digest and distil volumes of complex information, delivering relevant reporting of key trends, insights and priorities for action, for a variety of audiences
  • Change management in fast moving, flexible and agile environments
  • Strong relationship management focus across various stakeholder groups
  • Can pivot effectively across wide subject matter, perspectives and level of detail when required.
