Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in an environment including, but not limited to, financial planning and analysis, business analytics, management consulting, or investment banking.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and driving impact.
- Excellent business judgment, leadership skills, with the ability to communicate with clarity and engage with a executive management team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage ambiguous problems and drive insights.
- Excellent technical (e.g., Financial Modeling, SQL, Data Visualization) skills working with large volumes of complex data.
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges.
As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
Business Finance is part of Google's Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) organization, providing financial support to Google's business organization. Our work is integral to the strategic decision-making and operations of the commercial teams across all our advertising products.
The Google Customer Solutions (GCS) Finance team partners with business and cross-functional leadership to provide problem solving insights and recommendations on key business decisions. We are responsible for core operations such as forecasting and budgeting, and act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on topics such as business performance, risks and opportunities, market acceleration plans, and resource allocation.
As Business Finance Analyst for the AppDev, GCS team you will partner with the Global AppDev (GCS) Leadership to build the future of the App Developers digital ecosystem. You will drive projects and initiatives for FP&A and support large, cross-functional, complex projects, and initiatives. Your work will involve partnering with others in finance, business, business operations and strategy in country, regional, and global teams.

From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
- Drive business strategy across the AppDev Business. Define financial analysis objectives and needs for your area of the business, and effectively prioritize activities.
- Act as a Trusted advisor to business leaders on business performance and finance related priorities. Provide management with clear insights and recommendations and interact regularly to drive business enhancing product actions.
- Lead investigative deep dives independently in partnership with finance and cross-functional partners, bring clarity to the biggest and most complex problems.
- Communicate effectively by clearly and confidently conveying a message by simplifying technical complexity behind solutions/calculations, and focusing on actionable insights.
