Overall responsibility for planning, implementing continuous monitoring and auditing of financial, operational and internal controls to maximize operations' effectiveness, financial reliability, and compliance in conjunction with applicable standards and regulations such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Identify ways to improve processes for finding and eliminating waste and fraud. Responsible for departmental Internal Audit policies, procedures and budget. Assists the Chief Compliance Officer with Conflict of Interest annual disclosure process both internal and external and other projects such as annual open payments data, and 990 review.

Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field required. Master's degree preferred.

Experience - Minimum of 5-7 years experience, through internal auditing and/or public accounting/auditing required.

Licensure/Certification - Certification as a CPA, CIA, or CISA is strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Knowledge of healthcare industry programs, policies/procedures, and regulatory issues required. Prior internal audit experience in a hospital or other health care organization strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to analyze business risk and perform general audit procedures, including the assessment/documentation of internal controls. Demonstrated skills in working effectively with all levels of management. Strong organization and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and to proactively resolve or escalate issues. Proficiency with MS Office applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; proficiency with Access and Visio preferred. Proficiency with Continuous Auditing Technology "CAT" software such as ACL, IDEA or ActiveData for Excel preferred.
