When traumatic situations occur, our staff is there to assist the individual or family with their journey of healing and recovery. Family Services cares for individuals who are isolated, abandoned or just need help developing the skills to live successfully.

Our Business Office has an opening for Budget Accountant who is responsible for performing all budgeting functions of Family Services. This position coordinates with Program and Agency leaders and fiscal staff to create and enter budgets into the master budget, test for reasonableness, ensure the budgets are complete, accurate and timely; coordinates budgets schedules and reviews budget requests; provides support to other accounting needs of Family Services.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent experience. Preferred candidates will have a minimum of three years' experience in a nonprofit organization, knowledge of OMB, federal, state, and local laws, standards and requirements related to non-profit accounting. Candidates must have demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to quickly and effectively analyze, compare and interpret data. Proficiency in Excel including functions, charts, pivot tables and large workbooks with complex calculations is required. Other requirements include: excellent attention to detail, strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines; demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); ability to establish and maintain relationships within and outside the agency in a professional manner.
