About the Role:

The Revenue Accountant is a key member of the accounting department who oversees all revenues functions, including but not limited to, recording oil and gas sales from operated and non-operated sources, tracking and recording revenue payments from purchasers, division order setups, and maintaining revenue accounts in the general ledger.

Process and record operated and non-operated oil and gas sales revenue.
Ensure all severance tax payments are correctly calculated and paid timely.
Respond to royalty owner inquiries and internal information requests.
Facilitate accounting system setups of newly operated wells by obtaining all necessary information through coordination with Land, Operations, and Product marketing departments.
Ensure division of interest setups and changes performed by Land are appropriately set up in the accounting system.
Assist in preparing and filing state and federal regulatory reports with agencies such as the Office of Natural Resources Revenue and GLO.
Maintain revenue clearing accounts.
Prepare assigned bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Prepare ad-hoc schedules or reports as needed.
Assists in audits and inquiries from other functions/outside parties.
Assist with other accounting functions or special projects as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

Strong communication and analytical skills
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Ability to self-manage workload volumes to achieve goals and meet deadlines.
Ability to pay attention to detail and perform self-review on prepared deliverables.
Strong results-oriented focus, strong work ethic, and positive attitude
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field. In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting may suffice.
4+ years of experience in oil and gas revenue accounting
Wolfepak and EnergyLink experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
